Hi there!
My life changed on Jan 11, 2021. I was hit by a car while walking and sustained a broken back and brain bleed. I am one of thelucky ones - I survived. My back healed within a few months - my brain took much longer to heal. I had vision issues and still do to this day, I had cognitive issues and balance issues. I couldn’t do much of what I had done for most of my life - depression and anxiety set in.I decided I needed to do something to help myself heal! I was in cognitive outpatient rehab - it wasn't enough. So I headed to the local camera store, Bergen County Camera, and thus began my love of photography.
I am an award-winning photographer/astrophotographer! Through the lens of my camera, I’ve rediscovered myself. Every shot of the Milky Way, every detail of a distant nebula, and every moonlit landscape captures more than just light; it captures the essence of my resilience and growth. As I continue to push the boundaries of my photography and astrophotography, my goal is not just to capture stunning images but to inspire others who face their own challenges. My journey has shown me that even in the darkest times, there is light to be found, and sometimes, it's in the stars. Photography has given me a new lease on life, a way to connect with the universe and a community of like-minded souls. For that, I am forever thankful.
